What do you learn about the main character, Martin, in the exposition? I learned that Martin didn't like the elevator that was in his apartment building because it was an old elevator and it was very small and he was scared that the elevator would just stop. 2. What event sets the rising action in motion? When the old fat lady got on the elevator with Martin and she kept on staring at him while the elevator felt like it was taking longer to get to his floor. 3. What internal conflict is plaguing Martin in lines 81-84? 4. What details in lines 88-105 help to create suspense about what might happen? When Martin was going up to his building the elevator stopped on three and the doors opened revealing the fat lady with the green sweater cause she knew Martin was inside and once again she gets inside and stares at Martin all the way up until floor 18. 5. What details in lines 121-139 suggest a conflict between father and son? Martins father doesn't like how martin is scared of the elevator and how he gets scared bye a lot of things, 6. In lines 145-160 the story takes an unexpected turn. How might this development affect Martin's conflict? Martin thought that if he stayed with his father he would be fine and he could probably see the fat old lady but his father had to leave to check on a girl and he was left alone. 7. Judging only by line 175, the climax of the story, is Martin in danger? Explain your opinion. Martin might be in danger because the fat lady got on the elevator and she said "Hello Martin" and laughed and pressed the stop button that means they are stuck in the elevator together and something might be happening to martin. 8. The author ends this story at the climax. What is your opinion of the plot's development and of leaving the conflict unresolved? Explain.

A good trait in a U.S. president is that he/she has to have a good reason why he/she should be president because if somebody said "I'm running for president just for the fame." Then the should not be elected because we need a president that will make us humans safe from dangerous people like ISIS or people that bring dangerous things into our country like drugs and other dangerous thing..
Another trait a president should have is being a president that will be able to take on the hard working job keeping the state under control and somebody that won't quit because the job is to hard for them. One last trait a president should have is a president that will know how to react if a new dangerous virus was released or if we were under attack he would know tactics to winning the attack or if were to go into war, they should know how to react to an attack or a world crisis. |
